Your files

Files you open in a ToolsVerse tool are read and processed in your browser. Current browser tools do not upload the file bytes to us, store a server-side copy, or include file contents in analytics.

Your browser and device still form part of the security boundary. A compromised browser extension or device may be able to read content you open, just as it can on other sites.

What you send us directly

Three parts of the site ask you to type something and then send it to us. They are the only routes by which we receive personal information, and none of them involves a file.

We use what you send to answer you, to decide which tools to build, and to keep one person from voting repeatedly for their own request. We do not sell it, and we do not add it to an advertising profile. An email address is also checked against a block list so that someone previously removed for abuse cannot keep submitting.

These messages and requests are kept until they have been dealt with and removed by an administrator. We have not set a fixed deletion period, and we would rather say so than publish a schedule we do not operate. You can ask us to delete what you sent through the contact page.

• The contact form sends your name, email address, topic, subject, message, and the tool you were using if you picked one.
• Requesting a tool sends the title, description, category and your email address, so we can tell you if it gets built.
• Voting for a tool request sends your email address, which records one vote per address.

Optional usage analytics

Analytics are disabled until you choose Allow analytics. After consent, a first-party visitor identifier may correlate page views and tool-use events, and Google Analytics may process page and browser information. Standard network requests also expose information such as IP address and user agent to the service receiving the request.

In-product measurement uses a closed event list and bucketed values where measurements are needed. A file may be described by a range such as 1-5 MB, never its exact byte count.

• Page paths and tool identifiers.
• Whether an operation succeeded, failed, or was cancelled.
• Bucketed file size and duration, and coarse browser capability.

What analytics never include

We do not send file contents, file names, extracted text, generated output, or exact file measurements to the analytics API or Google Analytics. We do not sell personal information or use tool activity to build a cross-site advertising profile.

Advertising

No advertising or tag-manager script is currently active. If advertising is introduced, we will identify the provider, update these notices, and obtain any required consent before loading it.

What the site keeps in your browser

Some things are remembered on your own device rather than sent to us. They stay in your browser, and clearing your site data removes every one of them. The cookie policy lists the cookies proper, including the two that exist only after you allow analytics; the values below are browser storage rather than cookies.

One of these holds an email address: if you vote on the tool request board, the address you typed is remembered so you do not have to type it again. It is stored on your device for your convenience. The vote itself was already sent to us, as described above.

• Your light or dark theme preference.
• Your analytics choice, and — briefly, after you revoke it — a note that a deletion request still needs to finish.
• Which tool requests you have voted for, and the email address you used to vote.
• Work in progress inside two tools that are meant to survive a reload: the Study Timer, and the saved rows in the Keyword Position Tracker.

Consent and deletion

You can change your choice through Cookie settings in the footer. Revoking consent immediately stops future analytics, expires accessible Google Analytics cookies, and queues deletion of first-party event rows linked to the current visitor cookie. The visitor cookie is cleared after deletion succeeds. If deletion is temporarily unavailable, that HTTP-only lookup is retained for no more than 24 hours solely for bounded and future retries; denied consent still blocks every new event. Historical data already processed by Google is governed by the configured Google Analytics retention controls and applicable rights requests.

Consent expires after at most 12 months. If the matching browser values are missing or disagree, we treat the choice as undecided rather than continuing measurement.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and to data portability. Privacy requests can be made through the contact page. We answer valid requests within the period required by applicable law.

Children and changes

The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Material changes to this policy will be posted here with an updated date. Where a change requires a new consent decision, we will ask again before the new processing begins.
