About these tools
PDF is the format people reach for when a document has to look the same everywhere, and the price of that fidelity is that it is awkward to change afterwards. These tools cover the edits that come up most: combining several files into one, pulling pages out, making a file small enough to email, and adding or removing a password.
All of them run in your browser. That matters more here than in most categories, because the documents people need to merge and compress are contracts, invoices, scans of identity papers and medical letters — exactly the things worth not uploading to a stranger. You can confirm it: open your browser’s network panel while a tool runs and no file bytes appear in any request.
