About these tools
Most image work falls into three jobs: making a file smaller without ruining it, finding out something about an image you already have, and producing a new asset from one. These tools cover all three, and none of them requires an account or an editor licence.
Compression is the one people arrive for most often, usually because an upload has been rejected. The trade is always quality against size, and the tool shows you the result before you commit rather than after. For logos and diagrams, the SVG optimiser is usually the better answer than a bitmap compressor — it removes the metadata design software leaves behind and the drawing renders identically.
The inspection tools answer questions that are hard to check otherwise: what colours actually dominate a photograph, what DPI is recorded in a file a printer has rejected, and how the exposure is distributed across a histogram.
