About Receipt Generator
A clean printable receipt for a payment already taken — the thing a market stall, a tutor or a small contractor needs when a customer asks for proof and a full invoicing system would be absurd. Free, online, and without a per-receipt fee or an account. Each one is generated in the page you are on.

What a receipt should carry
Who paid, who was paid, what for, how much, and when — plus any tax charged shown separately where you are registered to charge it. That last point matters: a lump sum with no tax breakdown is not something the person paying can put through their own accounts, which is usually why they asked for the receipt in the first place.
What it does not do
- A receipt records a payment made; an invoice requests one. They are different documents and are not interchangeable for accounting.
- Nothing is stored or numbered for you, so keeping your own copy and sequence is your responsibility.
- Requirements for what a receipt must show vary by jurisdiction.

- What is the difference between a receipt and an invoice?
- An invoice asks for payment and is issued before it; a receipt confirms payment and is issued after. Accounts generally need both, and a receipt cannot substitute for the invoice that preceded it.
- Do I need to keep a copy?
- Almost certainly, and for a period your tax authority specifies. Nothing is retained here, so save or print your own copy at the time.
