About Collage Maker
Several photographs into one image, arranged on a grid or placed freely. Useful for a before-and-after, a set of screenshots that belong together in one attachment, or a page of options to send to someone for a decision. It runs online and asks for no account or sign up. The grid is assembled without uploading a single photo, and the finished collage carries no watermark.
How to use it
- Add your picturesEvery image stays on your device — the collage is composed in the page rather than assembled on a server.
- Choose a layoutA grid for equal weight, or a freeform arrangement when one picture should dominate.
- Set spacing and backgroundThe gap between images and the colour behind them. A little space reads as deliberate; none reads as an accident.
- Export the finished imageOne file, at the dimensions you set, ready to attach or post.
Why the gap between images matters
With no spacing, two adjacent photographs read as one confusing picture, because the eye has nothing telling it where one ends. A few pixels of background is enough to separate them, and making that gap match the outer margin is what makes a collage look composed rather than assembled.
What it does not do
- Memory is the ceiling. A dozen full-resolution photographs from a modern camera is a great deal of bitmap for one browser tab, and a phone will give up before a laptop does.
- Output is a flat image. The arrangement cannot be reopened and edited later, so keep the originals.
Questions people ask
- How many photos can I combine?
- It depends on their size rather than their number. Several very large images can exhaust a tab’s memory where twenty small ones would be fine; scaling them down first is the reliable fix.
- Are my photos uploaded?
- No. They are decoded and drawn locally. Watch the network panel while a collage is composed and you will see the page loading and nothing carrying a photograph.
