About JPG to PDF
Photographs and scans into a single document — the usual reason being that somebody asked for a PDF and you have five images. Page order and orientation are set before you save, so the result does not need fixing afterwards. Multiple photos can go in at once. This free online converter runs on your device rather than a server, so it builds the document without uploading a single picture, adds no watermark, and puts no account or sign up between you and the finished file.
How to use it

Page size versus image size
A photograph and a page are different shapes, so something has to give: either the image is fitted inside a standard page and gains margins, or the page is made the shape of the image and prints oddly. Fitting to a standard page is the right default for anything that might be printed; sizing the page to the image suits a document that will only ever be read on screen.
What it does not do
- The output contains pictures of text, not text. A scanned page becomes an image in a PDF and is not searchable — that needs optical character recognition, which this does not do.
- Large photographs make large PDFs. Compressing the images first, or the PDF afterwards, is usually worthwhile.
Questions people ask
- Will the text in my scans be searchable?
- No. The scan is placed as an image, so the PDF contains a picture of the words rather than the words. Making it searchable requires OCR, which is a different operation.
- How do I keep the file small?
- Compress the images before building the PDF, or compress the PDF afterwards. A modern phone photograph is several megabytes, and ten of them make a document nobody can email.
