About PNG to PDF
PNG images into a PDF document, with transparency handled predictably rather than turning black. Useful for turning exported diagrams, screenshots or logos into something that prints and shares as one file. Feed it multiple images and it converts them in place, online, for free. It assembles the document without uploading any of them, stamps no watermark on the result, and asks nobody to sign up or make an account.

What happens to transparency
PDF pages have no concept of a transparent background in the way a PNG does, so transparent areas have to become something. They are flattened to white, which is what the page would be anyway and what almost everyone expects. Tools that flatten to black produce the startling result where a logo turns into a dark rectangle.
What it does not do
- Flattening is permanent in the output. Keep the PNG if you need the transparency later.
- A screenshot placed at full page size can look soft in print if it has fewer pixels than the print resolution needs.
- PNG is lossless, so a document built from large screenshots can be substantially bigger than the same pages built from JPGs.
Questions people ask
- Why did my transparent logo get a white background?
- Because a PDF page is opaque. Transparent pixels are flattened to white rather than to black, which is the behaviour that matches the page they are sitting on.
- Can I put several images on one page?
- Not here — each image becomes its own page. Combine them into a single image first with the collage maker if one page is what you need.
