About these tools

Coursework generates a steady stream of small, fiddly calculations and formatting jobs. These cover the ones that recur: what your grade currently is and what you need on the final, a reference formatted to the style your department insists on, and statistics worked through with the intermediate steps visible.

The grade tools are weighted rather than averaged, which is the distinction that trips people up — a 90% on a quiz worth 5% does not offset a 60% on a final worth half the module. Where a target is arithmetically out of reach, the tool says so instead of printing a score above 100%.

The citation tools name the edition they follow, because APA 7 and APA 6 disagree and so do MLA 8 and 9. Institutions also apply house rules on top of the published style, so check the output against whatever your department actually issued.
