Speeding a clip up or slowing it down. Speeding up suits a tutorial with long pauses or a time-lapse; slowing down suits showing a detail that happens too quickly to follow. Free, online, and no sign up: the clip is re-timed in your browser, which means it is never uploaded and never watermarked.
How to use it

Speeding up is cheap, slowing down is not
Playing a clip faster discards frames, which is straightforward and looks fine — a two-times tutorial is perfectly watchable. Playing it slower has to invent time that was never recorded, and the only honest options are repeating frames, which judders, or interpolating between them, which smears. This asymmetry is why time-lapse is easy and genuine slow motion has to be filmed at a high frame rate in the first place.
What it does not do
- Slowing footage down does not create frames that were never captured, so heavily slowed video looks juddery rather than smooth. Genuine slow motion has to be filmed at a high frame rate.
- Audio pitch and duration change with the video unless it is removed.
- It takes longer than desktop software would, and that is the price of the file staying put.
Questions people ask
- Why does my slowed-down video look choppy?
- Because the frames do not exist. A clip shot at 30fps played at half speed shows each frame twice, which reads as judder. Smooth slow motion requires filming at a high frame rate in the first place.
- What happens to the audio?
- It changes with the video, so speeding up raises the pitch and slowing down lowers it. If the sound is not needed, removing it first usually gives a better result.
