How to reorder pages

Three steps, no account, and nothing to install.

  1. Load the document

    Drop your PDF onto the page. Every page appears as a numbered thumbnail in its current position, which is usually enough on its own to show what went wrong.

  2. Drag pages into place

    Move any page to any position. The numbering updates as you go, so the sequence in front of you is always the sequence you will get.

  3. Save the reordered PDF

    Download the result. Page content is unchanged — only the order in which the pages appear is rewritten.

About reorder pages

Pages end up in the wrong order for ordinary reasons: a double-sided stack scanned front-side first and then back-side in reverse, an appendix that belongs after the summary rather than before it, a signature page that arrived last and needs to sit with its contract. Reordering fixes the sequence without rebuilding the document by hand.

Reorder pages runs entirely inside this browser tab. The file you choose is read into your device's memory, processed there, and handed straight back to you — the bytes never cross the network, so there is no upload to intercept, no copy to retain and no retention policy to interpret.

Reorder pages: common questions

Can I reverse the whole document at once?
Yes. Reversing is a single action rather than a long drag, which matters for the common case of a back-side scan that came out in the opposite order to the front.
Do bookmarks and links still work afterwards?
Internal links and bookmarks are remapped to follow their pages, so a bookmark that pointed at the summary still points at the summary after it moves.
Does reordering change file size or quality?
Barely, and not visibly. The same page objects are written in a different sequence, so the file stays the same size to within a few bytes and nothing is re-encoded.
Can I interleave two scanned stacks?
Merge the two files first, then reorder. For the specific case of fronts and backs scanned separately, reverse the second half after merging and then interleave.
Is there a page limit?
No fixed limit. Thumbnails are rendered progressively so a long document stays responsive, and the practical bound is your device memory rather than a quota.
Can I move several pages at once?
Yes. Select a run of pages and drag them together, which is what you want when an entire appendix has to move rather than a single sheet. The selection keeps its internal order as it moves.
Does the page numbering printed on the pages update?
No. Numbers printed onto a page are part of its content and move with it, so a reordered document can show numbers out of sequence. Add fresh page numbers afterwards if the printed sequence has to match the new order.
